Dasha Pearl

Multi award winning singer-songwriter, founder of Ekova and Urbanswing Soundsystem, Dierdre Dubois goes rogue on her latest solo project, Dasha Pearl. She’s played the Hollywood Bowl with DJ Paul Oakenfold, won a French Grammy and was nominated Best Album Jazz with Julien Lourau, hit #11 Billboard World Charts with Ekova, and now she’s taking matters into her own hands. Since 2010, she’s turned rapper, crooner & beatmaker, forging a new style with her label, Morning Jam Productions.

In the works, a loving home-brew of old-school reggae, hip-hop, soul and jazz she calls Mutabilis Rex.  Mixed by Tony Bakk and David Soudan, the album features songs with AD Songeons, trombone player with De La Soul, guitarist/producer Vincent Lépinaux (Soom T), drummer Cyril Atef (-M-), and cool-cat Sal La Rocca on the double-bass.  Jazzhop & Rocksteady, Made in France.
